It is an ecological disposable material, very sharp in dry sandblasting and with impressive results in hydroblasting. It has no silica in free form which makes it absolutely safe for human health and the environment. It is considered the ideal substitute for quartz from which it has an even better cutting ability.
Olivine is a dynamic natural mineral abrasive. With a hardness between 6.5 and 7.0 moh, it is suitable for the restoration of aluminium, polyester, stone marble and wood facades, as well as for the creation of clean steel surfaces of moderate profile. It is an excellent material for hydroblasting, best combining high performance with material savings. The use of olivine in sandblasting contributes to the environment because it does not require special measures when disposing of it as waste.
